Bastiaan de Jager –
Craig designed this wonderfull jet. I built the protype of this model. I choosed for the pusher version. Everything in the buildproces was straight forward. It was a pleasure to built this model.
I changed one thing from the buildguide:
Initially the motor was mounted completely behind the exhaust. I moved the motor forward as far as possible. Now it’s almost covered by the exhaust duct.
Also I used the F22 launch grip for a better handlaunch.
I used the following setup:
motor: A2212-5T 2450kv
ESC: 35A
Battery: 3s2200 mAh
Propeller: 6×4 APC style
Servo’s: 3x 9gram with metal gear
Control throws aileron: +/- 10 mm (35% expo)
Control throws elevator: +/- 10 mm (50% expo)
Weight including battery: 1115 gram
The first flight was uncomplicated. I handlaunched her without problems. During the first flight I saw that the CG was too far back. Next flight I changed the CG 2cm to the front. This was a big difference.
