Description
Please note THIS IS NOT A CLEAR CANOPY – it is a tool or ‘Buck’ to make a canopy.
This part is divided into two pieces to help you fit it on an average 200x200mm 3d printed bed.
Designed to sit flat on a vacuum forming bed. Print with 5-8 Layer wall and zero infill.
Cut a large hole in the base up to the edge.
Fill completely with plaster of paris. 50g of water to 100g Plaster. Most canopy tools take about 4-500g of plaster. Allow several days to dry – rest on pencils, over a waterproof surface to allow the moisture to escape.
Once set, sand the 3d printed surface smooth using finer and finer grades of Abranet, then Wet n Dry paper. Starting from 80 grit to 800 grit.
Polish with a rubbing compound such as T-Cut, then buff with a cloth and water to get a polished finish.
